A strong conservation and social responsibility ethos underpin the resort. The developers have aligned themselves with the Born Free Foundation, and support local marine conservation initiatives.
Sustainability is at the development’s forefront. Water conservation is practised through dual flush WCs and the installation of Two Bio Digesters will minimise water consumption and generate water for irrigation purposes. Recycling facilities are provided in each home.
Eco homes website whatgreenhome.com has awarded Medina Palms an Excellent Kite mark. Founder Gordon Miller said: “Medina Palms is that all too rare beast: a development where sustainability, conservation and social responsibility inform the development rather than being adjuncts to help market the project. The developer’s genuine ethos is underpinned by attractively designed and well-priced properties, located beside a beautiful white sand beach and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.”
